How We Help

Thoughtful care. Practical support. A clear path forward.

Each service below starts with an Initial Diagnostic Evaluation. This 60-minute session is used to gather important information about your child’s concerns, history, current challenges, and goals for treatment. It may also include reviewing paperwork, discussing confidentiality, and identifying the best path forward. The goal is to develop a clear understanding of your child’s needs and begin building an appropriate treatment plan.

Individual Therapy for Kids & Teens

Individual Therapy for Kids & Teens

Individual therapy provides direct support for children and teens navigating anxiety, OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors, fear-based ARFID, perfectionism, phobias, and related challenges. Sessions are tailored to the child’s age, developmental stage, and treatment goals, with a focus on helping them build confidence, coping tools, and greater independence over time.

Individual Therapy for Adults

Individual Therapy for Adults

Individual therapy for adults provides support for parents and adults navigating stress, burnout, anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, overthinking, and the emotional demands of family life. These sessions offer a supportive space to better understand what you are experiencing, build practical coping tools, and feel more grounded day to day. This service is different from parent consultation focused on a child’s treatment. Individual therapy for adults is centered on the adult’s own mental health, wellbeing, and need for support.

Parent Sessions

Parent Sessions

Parent consultations are parent-only clinical sessions focused on supporting a child’s treatment. These sessions may be brief or ongoing depending on the family’s needs and can help parents better understand what is happening, respond more effectively, and reinforce progress outside of therapy.

Group Sessions

Group Sessions

Group sessions may be offered as an additional support option depending on clinical fit and availability. Therapeutic groups can provide children and teens with guided opportunities to build skills, practice confidence, and connect with others in a supportive environment.

Telehealth

Flexible care that works for real family life

Sessions are offered through Teleo Space Virtual Therapy, a secure online platform designed to help children feel comfortable, engaged, and supported right from home. Unlike a basic video call, Teleo offers interactive tools, games, and digital activities that can make therapy feel more active and personalized for kids. Virtual care also helps families save time, reduce stress, and schedule support more easily around school and everyday life.

SPACE

Parent-Based Support

When a child is struggling with anxiety or OCD, parents are often carrying a great deal too. SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is a parent-based approach that helps caregivers understand what is happening and respond in ways that support long-term growth and confidence.

Unlike traditional therapy models, SPACE works by guiding parents to make meaningful changes at home—reducing patterns that unintentionally reinforce anxiety and building new patterns that support independence.

What makes SPACE different?

SPACE Treatment

A structured, evidence-based approach that helps parents respond to anxiety in a supportive way without reinforcing it. Over time, this reduces anxiety patterns and helps children build confidence through real-life experiences—not avoidance.

What Parents Will Learn

Adult Therapy

Support for adults who are carrying too much

Parents often seek support for their child first, while quietly managing their own stress, worry, exhaustion, or emotional overwhelm in the background. Adult therapy at KidWise Counseling gives parents and adults a supportive space to focus on their own mental health, especially when parenting, family life, anxiety, OCD, or burnout have started to feel heavier than usual.

These sessions are designed to help adults better understand what they are experiencing, build practical coping tools, and feel more grounded in everyday life.

Adult therapy may support:

Stress & Burnout

For parents who feel emotionally drained, constantly “on,” stretched thin, or unsure how to keep showing up in the way they want to.

Anxiety & Overthinking

For adults navigating worry, uncertainty, reassurance-seeking, decision fatigue, or the constant mental load that can come with parenting and family life.

OCD & Intrusive Thoughts

For adults experiencing OCD patterns, intrusive thoughts, compulsions, reassurance cycles, or distressing fears that feel difficult to manage alone.

Adult therapy is different from parent consultation focused on a child’s treatment. These sessions are for the adult’s own stress, anxiety, OCD, burnout, and emotional wellbeing. The goal is not to make life perfect. The goal is to help adults feel less alone, more supported, and more equipped to respond to daily life with clarity and steadiness.
